Welcome to Marian's Blog. My blog is named for a business I had several years ago. I sold handmade quilted items under the company name Quilts On The Line. And the logo came from a long-ago memory I had of quilts drying on a clothesline on a breezy summer day.
My granddaughter, Kelsey is helping me get this going. There will be more pictures to come. I just wanted to get this out there.
For those of you who may not know me well, quilting is a huge part of my life. I work on piecing almost every day. In addition, I do a lot of counted cross stitch along with other crafts in more moderate amounts.
I retired from all work outside the home about 3 years ago. Since that time, I have enjoyed the company of a small quilting group consisting of my sister and my two cousins (who are sisters). Our mothers were sisters and we grew up together in a very small town. We were a family of 4 siblings and our cousins were part of a larger family of 10 siblings. We thought they were lucky to have so many brothers and sisters.
We sew and take road trips and go out to lunch every couple of weeks. Mostly, though, we have fun and this blog will include comments and pictures of the time we spend together.
This is something new for me and I'm doing it mostly for myself, my friends and my family. If you happen to stumble on this site I hope you enjoy what I have to say.
